From breath taking sunsets over the pacific to boarding down an active volcano, this back packing adventure has it all.

With beautiful colonial towns, numerous volcanoes, wild rivers, lakes and hundreds of miles of empty coastline, Nicaragua is the perfect location to let go and be free from it all. We sleep under the stars and hike to the top of mighty volcanoes, but more than that, we also play a part in the progression of Nicaragua by supporting community projects and institutions.

A key feature of this trip is a hands on working experience and workshop on the enchanted island of Ometepe. The workshop is carried out by Project Bonafide Founder Chris Shanks. Chris is not only an expert in permaculture and all things green, but he is an inspiring teacher to all. His farm is the incredible setting for the workshop, perched on a hill with views over the lake and howler monkeys in the back yard, you could not ask for a better classroom.

We also take you to little traveled regions such as the white sand beaches and crystal clear waters of the pearl keys where the absolute beauty will blow your mind!

04	Cosigüina - Setting up camp and evening bonfire on the beach
05	Cosigüina – Hiking to the summit of Volcano Cosigüina
06	Padre Ramos – Kayaking in estuary
07	Esteli – Padre Ramos to Esteli. Cigars and El Tisey Waterfall
08	Miraflor Reserve – Hiking amongst cloud forest and coffee plantations. Option to go horse riding
09	Jinotega – Farm over looking the city and visit to Lake Apanas
10	Datanli – El Diablo reserve – Hiking in virgin cloud forest.
11	Jinotega to Managua – Free day. Markets and other places will be recommended.
12	Managua to Pearl Lagoon – Late arrival
13	Pearl Lagoon. Pearl keys. Fishing, snorkeling and relaxing. Overnight camping on the beach
14	Pearl Lagoon – Pearl Keys to Orinoco. Stopping at villages along the way. In the evening we will see a traditional performance.
15	Pearl Lagoon – Exploring Wawashang Nature Reserve
16	Pearl Lagoon to Granada. Late Arrival
17	Granada – Free to choose from a range of activities such as a city tour, Los Pueblos blancos, Mombacho canopy tour
18	Granada to Laguna de Apoyo. Beautiful crater lake surrounded by forest. Option to visit Masaya Market and watch traditional dance performances in the evening.
19	Laguna de Apoyo – Kayaking, sailing, tubing.
20	Granada to Ometepe Island.
21	Ometepe – Sustanability workshop
22	Ometepe – Sustainability workshop in the morning. Afternoon hiking, fishing, kayaking, exploring.
23	Ometepe – To choose from the range of activities such as hiking Maderas Volcano
24	Ometepe to Chacocente Nature reserve. Voted as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Turtle watching in the nighttime during nesting season.
25	Chacocente Reserve–Private surf lesson in the morning or free surf for experienced riders. Afternoon hiking in the reserve or just enjoying the beach.
26	Chacocente to San Juan del Sur – Afternoon at the beach
27	San Juan del Sur – Beach and leaving party in the evening
